  • 1 pound lean ground beef The star protein that provides richness and satisfaction.
  • 5 cups chopped romaine lettuce A fresh and crunchy base for your salad.
  • 2 roma tomatoes chopped Adds juiciness and a pop of color.
  • ¾ cup grated cheddar cheese For that creamy, cheesy goodness.
  • ½ cup sliced pickles Brings a tangy crunch reminiscent of a Big Mac.
  • ⅓ cup sliced red onion Adds a sharp bite and enhances flavor complexity.
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds A finishing touch for texture and visual appeal.
  • ½ cup mayonnaise The creamy element in our copycat dressing.
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish For that signature sweetness found in Big Mac sauce.
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard Adds zest to the dressing.
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup Brings a hint of sweetness and balances the flavors.
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar For acidity that brightens the dressing.
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder Enhances the onion flavor in the dressing.
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika Adds depth of flavor and a bit of color to the dressing.
  • ¼ teaspoon salt Essential seasoning to bring everything together.
  • 1 teaspoon water To adjust the consistency of the dressing.

Method

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 pound of lean ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks, until browned, about 5 - 7 minutes. Ensure that no pink remains in the beef before draining any excess grease and setting it aside to cool slightly.
  2. In a small bowl, combine ½ cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish, 2 tablespoons yellow mustard, 1 tablespoon ketchup, 1 teaspoon white vinegar, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ¼ teaspoon paprika, and ¼ teaspoon salt. Mix well and add 1 teaspoon of water; adjust with more water if necessary until you reach your desired dressing consistency.
  3. In a large bowl, add 5 cups of chopped romaine lettuce, along with 2 chopped roma tomatoes, ¾ cup grated cheddar cheese, ½ cup sliced pickles, and ⅓ cup sliced red onion.
  4. Drizzle your prepared dressing over the salad ingredients in the bowl. Toss gently but thoroughly to ensure everything is well coated with that delicious copycat Big Mac sauce.
  5. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds on top as an elegant finishing touch before serving your salad immediately for optimal freshness.
