Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds salmon fillets Use 4 fillets for perfect portions.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil You can also use extra virgin olive oil or avocado oil.
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning This iconic seasoning brings a distinct taste to your salmon.
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder Adds depth to the flavor profile.
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder Complements the garlic nicely.
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried dill weed Introduces a refreshing herbal note.
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried parsley For a touch of color and additional flavor.

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 450˚F to ensure that it reaches the right temperature for roasting salmon perfectly.
  2. Generously grease a baking sheet or pan with cooking spray. This prevents sticking and ensures an easy cleanup later on.
  3. Place the salmon fillets skin side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush them generously with olive oil to help lock in moisture while baking.
  4. In a small mixing bowl, combine Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, dill weed, and parsley; mix until well combined to create a flavorful rub.
  5. Add the spice mixture to the fillets, rubbing it evenly around the top and sides for maximum flavor infusion throughout each piece of salmon.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. To confirm doneness, check that its internal temperature registers at 145˚F before removing from oven.
