Ingredients

  • 1 lb ribeye or sirloin steak Thinly sliced for quick cooking.
  • 1 small onion Sliced to add sweetness and depth of flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced to enhance the overall taste profile.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil For sautéing the ingredients perfectly.
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce A savory boost to the beef's flavor.
  • 1 tsp salt Enhances all the other flavors in the dish.
  • 1 tsp black pepper Adds a hint of spice.
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese Melts beautifully over the warm ingredients.
  • Chopped parsley For garnish and freshness.
  • Cauliflower rice, mashed potatoes, or white rice Your choice of base for serving.

Method

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced steak along with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper, then sear it for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add sliced onions, bell peppers, and minced garlic. Cook them together for about 4-5 minutes until they are tender and fragrant.
  3. Divide your choice of cauliflower rice, mashed potatoes, or white rice into individual bowls as the base layer. Top each bowl with a generous portion of cooked steak and sautéed vegetables.
  4. Sprinkle shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese over the warm steak and veggies in each bowl. Allow it to melt naturally; if you prefer extra crispiness, pop them under the broiler for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Finish off your bowls by garnishing with fresh parsley before serving hot. Enjoy this comforting meal that’s both hearty and healthy!
